Painters from the Krammer family were significantly connected with the east of today's Slovakia. The portrait gallery of the Horváth Stansith family in the manor house in Strážky is also connected with them. But what does the portrait tell us all about and how? And what does its "increase" with the environment mean? Based on the works in the guard exhibition, the lecture will not only present current knowledge about the still little-known Krammer family. It will focus on the broader context of their work. Especially the approach to portraiture in the 18th century It will also open the issue of interpretation of locally characteristic conservatism in the client-viewer interaction.
