Opening of the 2024 summer tourist season
The Prešov Self Government Unit - Museum in Kežmarok in cooperation with the City of Kežmarok will solemnly open the summer tourist season on Sunday, May 5, 2024 in the courtyard of Kežmarok Castle.
During the day, visitors will be able to choose from a wide range of refreshments and souvenirs of various kinds.
The event will also include an antiques exchange and archery.
During the day from 1:00 p.m. there will be individual tours of the exhibits in the castle. A new feature is the opening of the reinstalled exposition of Kežmarok in the years 1850-1950 and the exhibition dedicated to the defunct village of Ruskinovce.
Entrance fees to the entire castle grounds during the day, including the castle and veteran exhibitions, will be:

family ticket: €14 (2 adults + 1-4 children aged 6-15)

1:30 p.m.– 1:50 p.m. a group of historical Taurus Ater swordsmen - a sample of fights and duels from the 14th-15th centuries
2:00 p.m.– 2:30 p.m. DFS Letnička Poprad
14:40–15:20 Magician Wolf (Sranda Banda)
15:30–15:50 Taurus Ater - explanation and demonstrations of the technique of fighting with cold weapons
4:00 p.m.– 4:45 p.m. Theater Babadlo
5:00 p.m.– 5:45 p.m. live chess in the castle courtyard (chess tournament)
6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. concert Buranowski with the band
The exposition of Burgher house culture will be accessible to visitors during the day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
