The Night of Museums and Galleries is a celebration of the International Day of Museums, which is celebrated every year on May 18, and more than 37,000 museums in 158 countries participate in the event. The topic for 2024 is "Museums, Education and Research". Museums serve as dynamic learning centers that foster curiosity, creativity and critical thinking. They are important spaces where education and research converge to shape understanding of the world.
Visitors to the Podtatranske Museum in Poprad, Vajanského 72/4, can enjoy a rich cultural program, lectures by scientists, demonstrations of traditional crafts, evaluation of the competition for the most authentic raven's nest, creative workshops for children or tours of exhibits and an exhibition with an extended lecture explanation. The outdoor area of the museum will also be available - craft workshops and an amphitheater.
