In the footsteps of the Neanderthals
Cycling around Poprad, in the beautiful countryside below the High Tatras. The route starts at Námestie sv. Egídia square in Poprad and goes in the footsteps of the Neanderthals to the village of Gánovce.

From Námestie sv. Egídia we will pass through the Starý Juh housing estate. Connect to the cycle route in the direction of Kvetnica. After about 900 m we turn left, towards the farm buildings. We will cross the railway crossing and then along the field come to Gánovce. After viewing the Geopark, we can continue to Gánovský travertine, or head straight to the village of Hozelec. From Hozelec we cross Úsvit, direction Poprad under the highway. We will get to Stráže pod Tatrami and then back to the square. There are several refreshment options, benches and educational information panels along the route. You will fall in love with the cycling routes around Poprad.
