The route starts at Štrbské Pleso, where we can comfortably get by tram directly from Poprad. So we will save a lot of energy, which will later come together during more demanding sections from Kežmarok to Poprad. This beautiful cycle route will take you through the foothills of the High Tatras from west to east. The individual sections up to the village of Žakovce are excellently marked. In Žakovce, it is necessary to turn left from the main road in the direction of Poprad along field roads to Stráže pod Tatrami. The gravel road leads only from Úsvit to Stráže pod Tatram, approx. 2.5 km.

Along the way you can learn about the rich history and observe the amazing nature. From this route, there are several options for possible turning and seeing interesting places, or shortening the entire route by train to the descent to Spišská Belá (Strážky zastávka). The route would be less than 42 km, while the profile of the route would usually be only descending. Benches, information boards and refreshments are available throughout the route. You will fall in love with the cycling routes around Poprad.
