Festival Európske ľudové remeslo EĽRO 2022
The European Folk Craft Festival (EĽRO) will return to its original form after two years. The main and castle squares in Kežmarok will be transformed into a closed festival area, where folk ensembles and craftsmen from all over Slovakia and neighboring European countries will present themselves. The Kings of Crafts have a stable place among craftsmen, to whom the 30th year will be dedicated.
“EĽRO is about European crafts, traditions, music, singing and especially about people. And that's why we decided to dedicate this jubilee year to all people and all craftsmen. The whole festival will be about fun, it will be in a friendly spirit and it will return to celebrating traditions and crafts. Residents and visitors to Kežmarok can look forward to home ensembles, many very well known, but we have also turned to our neighbors - the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary, and we will try to attract their important ensembles to the city, ”said Mayor Ján Ferenčák.
