The Grand Prix of Slovakia, one of our most important competitions in downhill skiing, is closely connected with the High Tatras, the most beautiful and highest mountain in the Slovak Republic, and also with the development of the most widespread sport in our country today - skiing.

Slovakia, a country with good conditions for skiing, has a long tradition of skiing.
Slovakia is not only among the founders of the international ski federation FIS, but also among those countries that consistently supported the development and expansion of this beautiful sport. Skiing strengthens a person's health, gives him the joy of moving in the fresh air in the bosom of snowy mountain nature, and strengthens friendship between nations through honest competition.
