Mountain Run Psotka Memorial
We invite you to the 41st edition of the traditional mountain run Psotka Memorial in the High Tatras, dedicated to the memory of Slovak climbers – victims of Mount Everest.
The memorial is dedicated to the memory of Slovak climbers – victims of Mount Everest. Jozef Psotka, together with Ang Rita and Zolo Demján, reached the summit of Mount Everest on October 15, 1984, after climbing the south pillar. Jozef Psotka perished during the descent from the South Col. After climbing the southwest face of Mount Everest via the Bonington route alpine style between October 14 and 17, 1988, Jozef Just reached the summit on October 17, 1988. Dušan Becík, Peter Božík, Jaroslav Jaško, and Jozef Just perished during the descent from the South Summit.
