Painting Symposium Poetry in Tatra Painting – Spring 2024
An educational symposium focused on painting the landscape of the High Tatras
Technique: acrylic painting on canvas
Symposium participants will have the opportunity to become familiar with plein air painting, using the acrylic on canvas technique, and to explore the possibilities of artistically and poetically recording freely observed scenery directly in the landscape. The length of stay during the day in the open air will be adapted to the current weather. (In case of very bad weather, we will use the studio spaces). From the theoretical lectures, we will learn everything about the preparation, the technique and the material we will work with. We will notice and observe the beauty of the Tatra landscape around Starý Smokovec and try to record it artistically and poetically. After the end of the symposium, the participant will have the opportunity to present the works he created during the symposium at a collective exhibition, the opening of which will take place on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. in the Tatranský šperk Gallery.
