The choir was founded in 1992 by the enthusiasm of 10 young amateur singers and began performing occasionally at services in the Cathedral of St. Elisabeth in Košice. Under the leadership of its choirmaster Viliam Gurbaľ (founding member of the choir), it won several international awards in 1996-2001 at the prestigious church choir competition as part of the Festival de Picardie (France).
