Pozývame vás na diskusiu so slovenskou novinárkou Veronikou Cosculluela, ktorá vo svojej debutovej knihe Scvrknutý svet odhaľuje, ako vyzerajú všedné dni za múrmi slovenských väzníc. Ako vyzerá prvý deň človeka, ktorý práve nastúpil na výkon trestu? A čo prežíva ten, kto sa po rokoch chystá vyjsť na slobodu do sveta, ktorý sa zatiaľ zmenil? Koho vlastne zatvárame za mreže a kto sú ľudia, ktorí na nich dozerajú? Svet za mrežami je pre verejnosť takmer neviditeľný a často zahalený mýtmi či stereotypmi z filmov a seriálov.
Reportážna kniha Scvrknutý svet prináša skutočné príbehy väzňov, dozorcov, sudcov aj väzenských lekárov a ukazuje, že tento uzavretý svet sa dotýka oveľa väčšieho počtu ľudí, než by sa mohlo zdať.
Veronika Cosculluela je slovenská novinárka. Vyrastala v Podkoniciach pri Banskej Bystrici. Vyštudovala žurnalistiku v Bratislave a politické vedy v Grenobli a v Belehrade. Desať rokov bola hlavne politickou redaktorkou pre rôzne slovenské médiá, naposledy v Plus 7 dní. Vždy, keď bola možnosť, namiesto rozhovorov s politikmi ju to ťahalo k reportážam. Tak sa dostala aj k téme väzenstva v čase, keď sa na Slovensku začalo počas covidovej pandémie veľa rozprávať o podmienkach ľudí vo väzniciach. Zaujímalo ju, ako rozmýšľajú o tejto téme ľudia, ktorí tento uzavretý systém tvoria. Scvrknutý svet je jej debutovou knihou.
