And if you don't mind anything, but on the contrary, it's missing, you can recreate some thrift store pieces from us. We will upcycle by painting and embroidery, you can definitely handle both options even if you think you can't 🙂 we also have some graphics and materials (things) ready for you to print paint on textiles. The workshop is also suitable for families with children. We look forward to seeing you and your creations 🙂 🌱 14:00 – 20:00 SWAP CLOTHES, BOOKS and PLANTS Swap is a modern way of exchanging (anything). It is an event where you can ecologically renew your wardrobe by exchanging still-preserved pieces of clothing, but also get interesting pieces for the library or expand your collection of house plants. How will it go? You can bring a maximum of: – 10 pieces of clean, washed and undamaged clothing, – 5 pieces of books in new or preserved condition, – 5 pieces of plants or cuttings of plants (with cuttings, it is good to think about water for the person who will take them away and bring them, for example, in glass containers) in a healthy and viable state. We will take over the brought things from you and check their quality. You can then take as many things as you want. Please bring only the nicest, cleanest and best clothes that you no longer wear. Bring a book that you liked and want someone else to read. And bring a plant that is so pretty that you want its beauty to spread. Patrícia Gajdošociová. Climate change psychology deals with 3 core topics: eco-emotions such as climate anxiety, the mental health benefits of nature, and effective climate change communication. Climate anxiety is best learned to manage by activating positive emotions, such as building active hope and trust in oneself and others. However, negative emotions do not need to be suppressed or ignored, but allowed to feel them. At the same time, it is good to build a relationship with nature, to realize that not only do we help nature, but it also provides us with help with our mental and physical health. Being in nature can relieve stress, restore focus, build self-confidence, improve mood and combat climate anxiety. 🌡️🌧️18:00 – 19:30 DISCUSSION: ECOLOGIST ERIK BÁLAŽ AND CLIMATOLOGIST JOZEF PECHO How is the climate changing in Slovakia, what effect does it have on the weather and on our country? How does our land adapt to extreme droughts and how can it retain water better? Climatologist Jozef Pecho from SHMU and ecologist Erik Baláž will discuss these topics. The event is implemented as part of the project "Poprad for Climate: Education for Action" financed by the Tipsport Foundation.
