Journeying Through History - Tatr. Matliare

Discover the history, monuments, and stories of the most famous High Tatra settlements during free two-hour guided walking tours with expert commentary!

The High Tatras Region invites you to explore the history, architecture, and prominent figures of our Tatra settlements. Together with a guide, you will set off on an easy 2-hour walking tour filled with fascinating facts. Selected dates offer a special accompanying program – such as ending the tour at the Museum of Tatra Cinematography and Photography in Starý Smokovec with a short retro film screening, or an archival movie presentation of old Tatra films from the 1950s–1970s inside the historic "Trojča" electric train at Štrbské Pleso (approx. 30 minutes).
