Národný týždeň manželstva – Celosvetová kampaň The Marriage Week, ktorej je NTM súčasťou, pritom prebieha už od roku 1997. Prvý raz sa uskutočnila v Anglicku v sídle vlády spolu s vtedajším premiérom Johnom Majorom a jeho manželkou Normou. O rok neskôr otvárali podujatie vo svojom úrade nový predseda vlády Tony Blair a jeho manželka Cherie. V nasledujúcich rokoch sa kampaň rozšírila za hranice Anglicka a dnes je do nej zapojených takmer 30 krajín sveta. Na Slovensku sa táto aktivita udomácnila v roku 2010.
Národný týždeň manželstva (NTM) je týždenná iniciatíva na podporu manželstva, ktorá prebieha v týždni osláv sv. Valentína – obľúbeného sviatku spájaného s láskou a partnerskými vzťahmi. Cieľom NTM je propagovať a podporiť manželstvo ako vzácnu hodnotu pre moderného človeka. NTM vytvára priestor, kde si môžeme pripomenúť, že spokojné manželstvo nie je samozrejmosť, ale vzťah, ktorý by sme mali rozvíjať.
