Film screening Mountains and the City With the piano to Zanskar
Desmond O'Keeffe, a 65-year-old piano tuner, instead of a boring retirement, decides on an adventure - to transport a hundred-year-old 80 kg piano from London to Zanskar in the Himalayas, one of the most remote regions in the world at an altitude of 4000 m above sea level. He wants to donate the piano to a primary school in Lingshed. With the help of local Sherpas and a motley crew of yaks and ponies, Desmond and his assistants experience the biggest challenge of their lives.
