Race 500 km slovenských
Legendary races of historic vehicles
Legendary speed races of the Slovak 500 km were run in 1937 and 1938 on the circuit Bratislava - Malacky - Baba - Pezinok - Bratislava.
In order for the riders to really cover 500 kilometers, they completed this circuit a total of five times. For the first time, the race started on June 20, 1937 in extremely bad weather. There were several accidents and falls in the curves on Pezinská baba on the wet and difficult downhill track, but in a year's time the competitors were ready to fight for the championship again at the start.
500 km of Slovaks has become part of another well-known race for several years - 1000 miles of Czechoslovakia, but it is currently being renewed as a separate race in its full glory. The period atmosphere filled with burned gasoline, hot oil and engine crashes has a magical appeal for the spectators, and the competitors are unable to resist the opportunity to compete and find belonging and new friendships in the struggle.
